Laser Cutting

This is a technology that uses a laser to cut materials. Laser cutting works by directing the output of a high power laser at the material to be cut. The material then melts, burns, vaporizes away, or is blown away by a jet of gas, leaving an edge with a high quality surface finish. Industrial laser cutters are used to cut flat-sheet material as well as structural and piping materials. Advantages of laser cutting over mechanical cutting vary according to the situation, but two important factors are the lack of physical contact and intricacy of the cut. There is also a reduced chance of warping the material that is being cut, as laser systems have a small heat-affected zone. Some materials are also very difficult or impossible to cut by the traditional means. However, laser cutting has the high energy requirement.

Coatec India Laser Cutting Machine incorporates the state of art technology. Flexibility is the distinctive feature. Each laser machine is designed & developed to the specific needs of the sheet metal processing industry. It can cover broad range of steel thickness with speed and precision without any manual adjustment. It does not require any external gas supply for laser generation. The laser delivery is through Optical Fibre. Laser solutions are highly reliable both for small batches and large scale production. Coatec India also provides auto focus head.
Coatec India is currently the preferred system integrator for Rofin Sinar Lasers GmbH, Germany for the Fiber lasers (entire range) and CO2 lasers (more than 1000 watt range) for cutting applications. The high brightness fiber lasers of the ROFIN FL Series are the ideal addition to compliment the range of lasers currently offered by ROFIN. With their high performance, they are suitable for classical cutting and welding applications as well as for new applications such as the Remote Cutting. The emit ted wavelength in the range of 1 µm achieves absorption in many materials. All common solid-state laser application can be performed using the FL Series laser. With the multi-mode version of the FL laser, fiber optics of 50 to 600 µm can be used. The single-mode version produces exceptionally good beam quality, typically in the range of = 0.4 mm × mrad. The excellent beam quality also allows the efficient use of “dynamic beam” scanner system for high-speed position as well as the fast and precise application of small geometries at work pieces. This reduces cycle times and increase productivity.

Beam switched and energy splitters are available as an option allowing up to four work cells to be operated with only one laser. Non-productive times are reduced and the utilization of the laser is increased. ROFIN utilizes more than 30 years experience with its proven product quality and services concept to achieve the perfect beam for every application.
